Action by SlichoArt

Photoshop actions are created by manually performing a series of steps and recording them in an ATN file. Actions can save a ton of time when you need to perform a task repeatedly in Photoshop. In today's episode we show you how to create a Photoshop action from scratch. This tutorial teaches you to make actions that are appliable to any image. It really is an awesome tutorial. The example is one of my own actions and photo's.

Note: The Photoshop tutorial is for intermediate and advanced PS CC users. If you are a beginner you can try off course but it might go a little to fast. Some shortcut knowledge is a good thing to have before you try this :-)

Retouch Action by SlichoArt

Create your own skin retouching action

In this youtube tutorial, Rafy shows you how to to make a skin retouching action. While all actions are kind of the same, this action is somewhat different and retouching is done on almost every image with a model in it! That's why I decided to put two different types of actions in.  Photo: shutterstock

PersonalTip: If your model has lots of blemishes or pimples use the spot healing tool on your original layer before using your action.  The example was made with my own retouching action which includes more then the tutorial one, i added brighten eyes, whiten eyes, silky lips, dodge and burn etc. You can make your action as personal as you want and in that way, unique ;-)

Note: The Photoshop tutorial is very well explained and not hard to follow. It gives great results!

Hairbrush by SlichoArt

In this video Robert Marzullo explains how to create a very simple brush that makes a nice effect for creating hair, fur, and grass. It is quick and easy to do and he shows you step by step on how to complete this task. Using this brush to paint hair or fur is all in the wrist, know how hair falls, think about any wind in your image, hait never is one colour so use multiple layers and different shadings. (i know, hair is the most difficult part to draw so maybe this brush will help with that). If you make your brush 1500x1500px, 300dpi, it will be suitable for bigger images as well. (bigger is not possible, smaller always) This was done really fast for example purposes only.

PersonalTip: Ever thought of making your signature into a brush? Just make the same sized new image and make your signature in black. Then save as brush.

Note: The Photoshop tutorial is a very easy to follow tut for all levels

In this text effect Photoshop tutorial, we will be learning how to create an easy light burst effect. This tutorial is suitable for beginners learning how to create text effects, it's also fun to create. We will mainly focusing on creating the text in the blending options to give it some really nice, clean details. Then creating the light burst. We will also add a background afterwards. Hope you all enjoy.

Note: The Photoshop tutorial is a very easy to follow tut for all levels

In this tutorial you will see how you can transform any photo into a digital painting without the use of the oilpaint filter in Photoshop. The tutorial is non spoken but every step is very clear to see. I liked this one very much because it is easy translatable into an action to paint your models very fast and with good results.

Note: The Photoshop tutorial is fairly easy to follow for intermediate and up. With a little back and forward going also good to follow for beginners,

I did all the tutorials for you to see the results you can accomplish by simply following them. The first image is a simple colour change action of my own, the tutorial is more about how to make an action. The hair image was fast, so i didn't do the best I could. And my retouch action (personal one) is a bit more advanced then the tut but personal ;-)
